Nancy’s primary motivation in teaching yoga is to give back and to share her wisdom. She believes that self-love and learning how to trust yourself is everything in yoga and in life. Without this as a foundation, the risk of relying on external sources becomes addictive. When that outside source is no longer available, it’s too easy to get pulled downward in an Alice in Wonderland kind of way. Yoga is about learning to open to our innate, internal upward spiral - one that is inextricably connected to the Divine, and is bountiful, and constant. Providing this kind of internal attention and self-care has everything to do with how we extend that to others and the world.
Nancy’s class pacing is slow, steady and mindful. She skillfully weaves alignment-based, stair-stepped instruction with breath and an emphasis toward graceful and seamless transitions. In her classes your growth edge will expand but in a way that you get to calibrate. Nancy creates a learning environment that inspires, challenges and at the same time is welcoming and supportive. You’ll leave her class uplifted and grounded.

WORK WITH ME
My private sessions are designed to be tailored toward your needs, and evolve with your growth. You get to drive the session. Ask as many questions as you want, or ask that we leave certain things out! Make the session more about other parts of yoga like breath work or meditation. Learn modifications and variations of poses that may seem difficult but will quickly become more do-able! Experience physical changes faster than working in group classes because this class is designed to meet you where you are.
Intensives, Workshops, & Trainings
Workshops help deepen your understanding and your practice. Poses become more accessible (and fun) when they are deconstructed and the alignment, key actions and modifications are made transparent.
Practice Intensives are a unique format in that teacher and student practice together in community. There is a beautiful interchange of inspiration and support that results. Designed for the intermediate/advanced student. These intensives are inspired by Christina Sell.

In 2011, Nancy opened Nourish Yoga in Moscow, Idaho where she was studio co-owner, director, and lead teacher for over five years, helping create a vibrant community that continues today (now called Kula Yoga).
