ABOUT

Philosophy
Nancy’s primary motivation in teaching yoga is to give back and to share her wisdom. She believes that self-love and learning how to trust yourself is everything in yoga and in life. Without this as a foundation, the risk of relying on external sources becomes addictive. When that outside source is no longer available, it’s too easy to get pulled downward in an Alice in Wonderland kind of way. Yoga is about learning to open to our innate, internal upward spiral - one that is inextricably connected to the Divine, and is bountiful, and constant. Providing this kind of internal attention and self-care has everything to do with how we extend that to others and the world.
Teaching Style
Nancy’s class pacing is slow, steady and mindful. She skillfully weaves alignment-based, stair-stepped instruction with breath and an emphasis toward graceful and seamless transitions. With Nancy, you’ll get a full-spectrum practice and be nudged toward your growth edge creating a healthy challenge that you get to calibrate. Nancy creates a learning environment that inspires and is welcoming and supportive. You’ll leave her classes uplifted, and grounded.
"Nancy's yoga classes are a tonic: strengthening, invigorating and grounding. Her delivery is warm, compassionate, direct and descriptive, and clearly comes from a deep understanding of the postures.
Said another way, every class is an experience in awareness, connection, and joy."

Intensives, Workshops & Trainngs
Workshops help deepen your understanding and your practice. Poses become more accessible (and fun) when they are deconstructed and the alignment, key actions and modificatons are made transparent.
Practice Intensives are a unique format in that teacher and student practice together in community. There is a beautiful interchange of inspiration and support that results.Designed for the intermediate/advanced student. These intensives are inspired by Christina Sell.

Group Classes
It is in the group experience that we better get to know and appreciate ourselves. We are surrounded with people that are more mobile, strong etc. as well as those that are not. This becomes the perfect opportunity to learn to stay present in our own body while moving and breathing together with others. If you are new and/or wanting a refresher, please consider an Intro to Yoga course.
